Brief Case History
Henry Curtis Jackson was tried for, and found guilty of, four counts of capital murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of armed robbery. Jackson’s trial began on September 9th, 1991 and he was found guilty on September 14th. He was sentenced to death for the four capital murder charges.
Jackson and his legal team made a direct appeal, which was denied, before filing both a petition for post-conviction relief and an application for leave to file motion to vacate conviction and/or death sentence in 2002. Both petition and application were denied by the Circuit Court of Leflore County and the Supreme Court of Mississippi, respectively.
