Brief Case History

Jessie Williams was tried for capital murder in 1983. He was convicted and sentenced to death. Williams and his legal team appealed and the court granted him a resentencing. In 1990, another jury sentenced him to death. Williams and his legal team again appealed and, in 1996, his appeal was denied.

Williams and his legal team sought habeas relief, which was denied, and he was executed on December 11th, 2002.
