Brief Case History

Thomas Loden kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and murdered Leesa Marie Gray on June 22nd, 2000. He pled guilty and was convicted of six crimes - capital murder, rape, and four counts of sexual battery - on September 21st, 2001. Loden was convicted by the Circuit Court of Itawamba County, Mississippi, and sentenced to death.

Loden and his legal teams filed a number of motions and appeals, including a forensic mental evaluation of Loden and an unsuccessful lawsuit against the State of Mississippi for its use of particular lethal injection drugs.
